Whether you're visiting for vacation or just passing through, you'll have all the comforts of home and more in this sweet and comfortable beach cottage. This is the perfect lower-cost option for up to 2 people to enjoy this little slice of Florida.
If quiet and serene, and close to much of what makes Millville so special is what you're searching for, look no further. Built in 1902, Millville Mansion is a quaint, but spacious, 3 bedroom and 1 bath, pet friendly beach cottage. Choosing this 1 bedroom option gives you access to the entire home and master, excluding the additional bedrooms. Newly renovated* (almost finished) and tastefully decorated, guests can enjoy central air and heat, an open-concept living room and large kitchen, a screened-in porch, a spacious back deck, and ample private parking for multiple vehicles.
*Please note this home is still undergoing some minor renovations as a result of Hurricane Michael. While structurally sound and fully functional, there are still some minor interior and exterior repairs/finishing work being done. Landscaping and exterior aesthetics are planned to be addressed as soon as the interior is complete. The immediate surrounding areas sustained a substantial amount of damage as well. While everyone is working diligently to make repairs, many areas including our little historic neighborhood are still in rough shape. These restoration efforts do not affect the home's home-like feel and will have no effect on your stay. We simply want to be completely transparent prior to your booking.
THE SPACE
When you arrive, you'll be greeted by a covered and attractive front porch that overlooks the historic Millville Cemetery. Once inside, you'll walk directly into a large and inviting living room with a comfortable sectional and pleasing beach décor. Easily cleanable floors and moveable coffee tables make bringing your dog a breeze, and a large screen TV allows guests to stream their favorite shows.
Through the living space you'll see a beautifully renovated kitchen with an eat-in bar, breakfast nook, and all you need to prepare a delicious meal. This bright and airy kitchen is fully equipped and features a full-sized fridge, stove, dishwasher, and ample cooking utensils and gadgets needed to chef up whatever your party desires.
In the morning, make yourself a hot beverage at our coffee bar! Use our Keurig coffee maker then mosey out onto our screened-in porch located right off the kitchen. If you're bringing your furry friend, you can easily walk right out the screened door and onto our expansive deck with seating for four. This extra space is shaded by one of our gorgeous historic oak trees and allows guests to expand their floor plan during their stay.
When you're ready to unwind from your day, make your way into the home's bathroom, which features a tub/shower combination, single vanity, and soft towels. Once you're ready for bed, settle into one of our 3 clean, comfortable, and minimalistically-decorated guest rooms (5 beds total). All rooms offer plush and inviting bedding and have easy hall access to the home's bathroom.
This home also features a washer and dryer that can be used at no cost.
There is so much to see and do in Millville including visiting our local farmer's market, hiking on our beautiful trails, visiting our gorgeous beaches, taking in local art, dining at delicious local restaurants, or fishing off our magnificent coast. Whatever your reason for visiting, we hope you'll find relaxation and fun at our little beach bungalow.

HOUSE RULES/NOTES
We love communicating with our guests. To ensure that nothing is missed or lost in translation, we ask that all communication regarding your stay be done through this app's messaging feature. At time of booking, we require a signed short-term rental agreement, copy of Government ID (issued in the US) and a security deposit. If you are bringing a pet (dog friendly, only, up to 2), we also require a non-refundable pet fee of $25/pet/day. The deposit and pet fee will be collected 24-hours prior to arrival. Once check out is complete, no damage is confirmed, and it appears all house rules and check out procedures have been adhered to, your security deposit hold will be released. This may take up to 7 business days after check-out. Please note since the deposit is authorized prior to your stay you may see a renewal of the hold during or shortly after your stay to allow cleaners/owner time to inspect the property for damage, obtain a quote and/or see if stains can be removed from carpets/bedding/etc if applicable. Chargebacks will not be honored.
*We also want to be sure our guests are aware of the following house rules.*
1.) Unfortunately our exterior is not yet ready for unattended pets. Should you decide to bring your furry friend, please understand that some additional attention may be require as our yard is not fenced or landscaped just yet.
2.) This home is not considered childproof. If you are bringing children under the age of 18, we require that they are not left unattended in the home at any time.
3.) There is an RV parking space in the back of the driveway which will likely be rented during your stay. If so, the driveway, deck and laundry room are shared spaces. Please do not block the driveway and be courteous to other guests.
4.) The property is surveilled. Any tampering
with/moving/redirecting/covering/disconnecting WiFi or devices will result in forfeiture of security deposit and/or immediate cancellation of your reservation and you'll be required to leave the premises immediately. By
reserving/booking this property for rental, all parties present during this stay waive their option to have surveillance disabled. Please understand that we do not "sit and watch" the cameras, but this is our home and
investment, and we have measures in place to protect it and us. Equipment is located outside the front and back doors, on the deck above the air conditioner and driveway. No private areas are visible and I am happy to provide a screenshot of covered
areas if requested.
5.) Guests staying longer than 14 days will incur an additional cleaning fee to cover required weekly cleaning/inspection of the property. Note this fee is not to "clean/tidy up after" guests, but to provide clean linens, clean the bathroom and dust/mop if needed.
6.) Parties are not allowed as this home is in a quiet neighborhood.
7.) PLEASE NOTE: It is strongly recommended you obtain travel insurance when booking our home. Sometimes unforeseen circumstances occur (weather, family illness, etc.) which could cause you to need to cancel your trip or end it prematurely. If you choose not to obtain travel insurance, please know that we will abide by our advertised cancellation policy and no refunds will be provided should you decline to protect your travel investment. If you choose to book this unit, that action constitutes agreement with this policy. If your stay is eligible for insurance through the property management company we use, you will receive an email with information on how to purchase (if your stay is at least 30 days in the future). If not, a simple online search will provide a myriad of choices.
